Eleven thirty-seven, sing a song in heaven (or else) aka London with Robin and Family

Yes, as the title implies I went to London once (not long ago) with (part of) my family. I usually find big cities like this a bit dull, because they are basically just big.. and very commercialized. And London is no exeption. But it wasn’t all that bad, I had a good time.

Finding the way, getting around:

Brick Lane (or somewhere close. East end):

Me in a psychedelic store. Cool clothes, but couldn’t afford anything:

A tame squirrel in Hyde Park:

Some important people passing by:

And OMG THIS IS THE COOLEST BUILDING I HAVE EVER SEEN (seriously), look at this:

(lol, the sky on that last picture is fake, but the original one looked horrible)

And at last a trip to piccadilly circus:

Stepdad get’n angry (or so it seems, but is it genuine anger or just innocent fun? Stay tuned for answers):

We also did some other things the days we spent there, but they aren’t worth mentioning (or are they? again, stay tuned for answers)

And remember
Christmas eve is always in december

Saluton

For the THIRD time this year.. I attended a wedding.

The time had come for my own dad to get remarried. He has found a nice “girl” in my opinion to share the rest of his life with, if they can stick together that is. But let’s hope they will.

Wondering what to wear:

As allways, Simon showed up:

Entering the church:

Getting seated:

Daddys wife(or soon to be at this point), accompanied by her dad, enters the hall:

The window-art in this church wasn’t for weak souls, it was actually pretty creepy. In my opinion; enough to form a conspiracy theory:

First, a singer sang a song:

Some jesus-preachin’ and then gettin’ married:

HELLO NEWLYWEDS!

Simon and Astrid described the event as “cozy”:

Con-gratulolations from everyone:

Awww:

The church program stated that “Bridge over troubeled water” by Paul Simon was to be played, and it was. As we couldn’t see the organist from where we sat in the church hall, and the program didn’t state who the organist was, we were convinced that Paul Simon was actually there, playing. Therefore, after the wedding, we went up to the organ room to feel the vibe of the place we believed that Paul Simon had been present just minutes ago:

Outside, the others were still occupied with wedding stuff:

Off to the wedding dinner:

Taking the bus to the location of the wedding dinner generated at least one interesting photo:

Once there, we had a great time. Dinner:

The tables were arranged after different bands and album covers:

Here, we are putting to life Immanuel Kant’s famous expression: “You kant have more fun than you make yourself”:

The wedding cake had lego figures. What an incredible idea:

More cakes:

The cake junkie (me) comes to life:

And last, but not least, here are some exclusive photos from our “headshot”-contest:

Best wedding ever. 10/10

True magic is the greatest of all natural sciences

In the middle of the great woods not far from where I live, there is a mystical (and I believe also magical) gate.

Legend/rumor has it that the gate heirs from ancient time, over 4000 years ago, when kentaurs and sphinxes walked the earth. Only a few people have ever dared entering the gate, and as far as i know there has only been five such incidents the last hundred years. Driven by my lust for exitement and adventure, i had to enter and see what was beyond.

After some time walking, something that looked like a building came to sight:

What a sight! What was this place that I had just discovered? The whole surroundings oozed World War II, but I also felt there were some much older forces in play (in accordance with the legend).

The place was like an enourmous complex with a big field in the middle. At the spot wich looked like it was once the site for the main building, the ground was covered with ruins. My historian friend Albert concluded they must have been the result of an ancient war over a thousand years ago.

Exploring a bit more, i found there were all kinds of eerie buildings around:

The place started to freak me out, so I stole a traktor and headed home.

At a certain point in your existence, you get the urge to get out on the countryside to feel the mood of the mountains and farms and fresh air. So Simon and I decided to take a trip to the old family cabin in the norwegian monutainy farmlands. It turned out to be some amazing days up there. Let me share with you some moments of the fantastic journey:

We started off with a train from Oslo Central Station, and after two hours or so, we got off to switch to a more local train, that would get us to our destination:

The train journey was an experience in itself, and we passed by some interresting places:

True Norwegian black metal-store Felleskjöpet:

Nice natural surroundings:

Passing a nifty train somewhere in Hedmark:

At arrival, the weather was so nice, we didn’t have any other choice than to indulge ourselves into a hedonistic carefree lifestyle, doing nothing but bathing in the river, laughing of old jokes and eat traditional food in the sun.

Simon saluting by the river:

We went by the old “cowboy”-villlage to say hi to our old friends at the horsemanship, they wouldn’t let us take pictures inside the village tho. So here’s one from the outside instead:

Walking home after a delicious day in the sun by the river:

In the evening, Simon took our holiday to the next level by demonstrating his extraordinary baking skills:

Best stuff i’ve tasted in years.

In the nighttime, about 2 am, we decided to go exploring the surroundings to see what it looked like during nighttime.

Suprisingly, we met an old friend, who we both thougt had died some time ago. But obviously he was more alive than ever:

We said hi, but had to carry on to be able to explore before the sun came up.

Everything looked a lot more mysterious at night:

Visiting the old hanging bridge:

The train station also had visitors:

Awesome self-exposure:

The last day of our stay, before leaving, we went to look at some old traktors and stuff:

This one was parked in the middle of nowhere:

And this one was on a farm:

Aaaaand, then we took the train home again

Nice trip

Oh my

Look what arrived in my mailbox, it’s the new EP from the Brian Jonestown Massacre, along with an old 7” single.

Smoking Acid, what a name! Smashing. The single is a non-album song from 2002 i think. It’s called If Love is the Drug, Then I Want to OD:

Smoking Acid had some amazing artwork:

The vinyl itself, or vynal as anton writes it, was pink. Blew me away:

It also included a second vinyl, wich was some art-thing made by Antons icelandic pal Jón Sæmundur Auoarson:

First time i ever bought something online. I am satisfied. Cool to know also that Smoking Acid is limited to 1.000 copies worldwide only

Old friends, new weddings

Hey ho.

Been to a wedding again. Last time it was my cousin Simons dad who got married, this time it was his mothers turn to stand before the altar. Allthough i am not tecnichally related to her, i was invited because we’re such good friends

It took place somewhere on the countryside, and we spent a few days in a little cabin up there before and after the wedding. It was nice. Here’s the chapel where they took eachothers hands in marriage:

Simon waiting impatiently for the fun to start:

The soon to be newlyweds enter the building. They were actually both dressed in grey. Pretty radical, eh?:

The priest recieve them by her hedonistic-ish love altar:

Simon had to read from the bible, as usual:

The little girl on the first row falls in love with me:

Happily wed:

The wedding cake tasted lolicious, and we all loved it:

Haven’t got any pictures of it, but i actually held a speech under the wedding dinner. Totally on impulse and improvised. First time in my life. I am proud of myself.

Total review: Excellent wedding. Not too long ceremony, nice surroundings and tasty food. Everybody seemed to have a good time.

Score: 9/10

Also, i have been moving lately. I packed my things and moved to a place a bit out of the big city, where you can breathe freely and take long wanderings in the woods. The day before I moved, Simen held a little ceremony for me in the old house:

We also took the trip to that good old storage room together to play our favourite game, civilization 3:

When we moved all the furniture, it looked amazing when we placed the organ in the forest surroundings outside the house:

And finally, here’s my new home. Don’t know if I like it yet. Hopefully I’ll get used to it:

Haven’t made any new gif’s this time, but here is an old one that’s been hanging around on my computer for quite some time:

See you soon :)
